Can I get money back from Paypal?

Options
Hi all,

I am new tho this site and posting hoping that someone may be able to help me.

I booked tickets for a local festival which was meant to happen this weekend. I paid through my paypal account. The festival organisers have been forced into administration and are unable to refund ticket holders. Stupidly I did not pay on my credit card.

I have been on to paypal and it says I can only claim for tangable goods that did not arrive?

Anyone got any ideas how I cna get my money back nearly £200

Thanks in advance!

I have no idea, you should ring them up.

I think buyer protection might help.
  • The festival must have been insured. They should be able to refund you your money. You should get a number for costumer support of whoever organized the festival and tell them to refund your money.

I spoke to paypal. They can recover money for me as long as the companys bacnk account has money in it. Not looking promising as they went bust!

If this was paypal on a non ebay site then your buyer protection is limited. Basically as has been said you can only get a guaranteed refund if you made the purchase within the past 45 days and the sellers paypal account has enough fund s in it .
