1st Central Car Insurance - Proof of NCD

I am a new customer to 1st Central.
I have supplied 1st Central with all the information they requested for proof of No Claims Discount 3 times, once by phone & 2 emails. Now I have their final demand that in 7 days they will change me £85!
I tried to call them this morning 22/07/09 @08:08 AM regarding this issue but their lines were experiencing heavy calls at this time, I am not surprised. If this is how they operate.
This is ridiculous. It’s time the car insurance industry got its act together. What freedom of choice do customers have if you the insurance industry continually stitch customers with proof of NCD. I am disappointed & annoyed with 1st Central & the general car insurance industry’s policies on proof of NCD.

Give up trying to phone them.
Send them the proof they require via recorded delivery. Then you will have a paper trail to refer to if they still say they haven't got it.0 -
I myself have just scanned and e-mailed my offer from Direct-line. So now I will also record deliver it. I only just noticed that their main office is in Gibralter!0

Heard nothing but bad stuff about 1st central, although it seems these days most companies are getting cut throat with charges.0
