Right here goes...my life is a mess because of debt. I'm a compulsive borrower, spender and debtor. I have real issues around this compulsive behaviour and I need help.
I'm attending my 1st Debtors Anonymous meeting this evening. Does anyone know if you can get medical help through the NHS for compulsive behaviour?
I've made so many starts at sorting out my debts that I've lost count. The same thing happens everytime that when I get to my first cross roads that I fail and choose to debt again. I'm hoping that by puting some real support systems in place that I will be able to crack it this time. To be honest I dont understand why I get myself into debt. It causes me so much worry and has the knock on affect of me lying to my friends and family.
I AM CURRENTLY 24K IN DEBT.
I've now decided to dedicate my life to getting myself out of debt and staying that way. I'm going to post a SOA on here tomorrow. I've started making a note of everything that I spend and its horrifying me. Have made decision stop smoking instantly. I've been wanting to do it for ages and I figure that I have the ability to determine my own future and smoking is not in it!
If anyone has any helpful comments on tips then I'd be grateful to hear them.

Hi NY, well done. At least you have identified your problem and you clearly know where to start. Pop up your SOA, its always good to have a fresh eye on your spending - and alot easier for someone else to identify luxury spending!
Have a chat with National Debtline and see if they can recommend any counselling services. I assume you have spoken with your GP?LBM 30/6/9 Unsecured debts [STRIKE]£25,323.48[/STRIKE] £0 :T Debt free
