The Boots Refugees ProBoard are not hiding anything from anyone.

As with any forum, Moderators need to have a private area to discuss issues with the proboard, ie technical issues that occur when users who have applied, have their applications declined, and whether there should be a new thread for Sainsbury's bargains or rarely used threads should be removed, etc.

Why would the general forum need to read these?

We are most definitely not hiding any glitches, bargains, etc from anyone. If anything, the first thing we do is post great finds, glitches, clearance, etc.

If you choose not to join the proboard that is your decision. No one is forcing you or insisting you join. The proboard is there for those who genuinely want to find out about Boots bargains, glitches, clearance, etc.

As with MSE, they have their own private area where none of us would be allowed where they discuss the MSE business. I am sure you aren't going to ask Martin to be allowed to view the Abuse email account are you?

That's not the case though is it aureol. Complete chat threads from every day leading up to the board being 'opened up' have been locked in this chitter chatter 'private' area which makes it look like you are hiding things. I can't believe that every conversation you have had before 'opening up' the board has been about trivial things - makes me wonder just exactly 'what' or 'who' you were talking about that made you want to 'hide' it all in a private area. Why hide it all if you don't have something you don't want others to see????? Now you can make whatever excuse you like aureol but it is still very, very suspicious.

Just making sure people are aware of what's been done aureol - if you have nothing to hide then you don't need to justify yourself do you?? I don't want to join a board where there is a private area for the select few to chat and gossip and maybe others might not either once they have been made aware of this fact. It's only fair to make sure people are aware though so that they can then make the choice isn't it!

MSE Andrea has asked that all Boots Offers and Glitches are posted on the Grabbit board as individual threads and that chat style threads are not started and has told us that they will be deleted.

The sticky is and will continue to be updated from these individual posts.

However, for those wish to still partake in a 'chat' style thread, they can join http://bootsrefugees.proboards.com with their MSE username. If there are any problems with sign up they can email bootsrefugees@googlemail.com ALL MSE members are welcome. There was a glitch with sign-ups, but this has now been sorted out.

ALL information found on MSE is added to the site and in return ALL information found on the site is updated on the sticky on MSE. Therefore whether you choose to join the site, so you can find all of your bootsing glitches in one place, or prefer to stick to MSE as you read the Grabbit threads on a daily basis, you will not 'miss out'.

As I said in my original post, in regard to opening up the forum for all of MSE members, the personal information of existing members was to be protected first. This is because existing members have used their childrens first names and posted pictures etc along with other information, that they may not have wanted to share with others. Ensuring the existing members information was kept private before opening up the forum was vital.

Most proboards will have a staff section as it is easier to communicate, rather than using pm's (maximum of 3 members per pm etc) or MSN etc.

Not true! You could certainly pm with the amount of admin staff you have on there.

If you don't like people questioning if/why you have something to hide, then why did you not just set up a completely new Proboard?
