It is not correct. They have taken an unauthorised amount from you.
Kick up more of a stink and follow it up in writing (recorded delivery) or email and keep these for future reference.
I would also have a word with your bank, they may be able to do a charge back under the circumstances.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -
thanks for that advice will try .let you know how i get on0

Sky insurance is a waste of time.
If your box breaks either threaten to leave until you get a new one free or buy a second hand one.
£67 a year is a rip off
As for taking two years. Very naive not to check the cost and duration in advance of saying OK.0 -
The op said the renewal was done over the phone and presumably they told him the amount then or presumed the OP would presume it was for a year. These people are worldly wise when it comes to scamming and psychology.
And i totally agree with you about the insurance being a waste of time. Its probably not sky anyway, just one of these that jump on the bandwagonmake the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.

Rip off .... Standard sky box's can be bought off ebay for around £15, brand new sealed Sky + HD box's for around £100!!!0
