Pointless moan and little digs!

Morning all, this is rather a pointless post but just want to have a minor vent.

Last Monday (13th July) I ordered a Fishing Rod, Reel and Line from ( a seller on ) ebay. On Thursday it was delivered ( to my work) but as I was out of the office couldn't open it till 'after hours' . When I did open it the rod and reel were there but not the line. I double checked the box (obviously) and also looked on the delivery label that said 1 of 1. So I sent a message that evening saying that I hadn't received the line. The messages were as follows:


(Thursday16th July Evening)
Dear bargainanglingsupplies,

I received my Rod and Reel today but no line. Please could you send me the line. Thanks

Hi Dave
Could you check to make sure that the line isn't in the packaging, as I've had a look and this has been signed off by a packer and a supervisor (we like to double check when there are a number of items).

Yes I have double checked, and the line is not in the box. The packaging was not damaged so it would not have fallen out in transit either. Thanks

I reckon that they think that I am pulling a fast one and trying to get something for free, note how they say that they have sent a second one. Well sorry but you never sent the first one!

Don't worry, its just the sort of thing that bugs me too.

Unfortunately there are a lot of people that would pretend they hadn't had the line, which makes sellers suspicious of everyone.

I bought a phone last week for £130 but the paypal payment got refunded. the seller asked when I was going to pay, so I told her about the automatic refund. She asked me to try again, so i did. This got refunded too. So at the moment I have £260 missing from my bank account (which I cant afford not to have), no phone and I have to wait until the money gets into my paypal account before I can transfer it back again (approx 2 weeks without the money). The seller said it was because the wrong email address was linked to the account, and she knew about this already!!!! She has now said she will relist the phone once the money has appeared in my paypal account-WHY? Can't see why I cant just pay again? Soemthing fishy going on and very fustrating ....

I think 90% of sellers will suspect you are pulling a fast one. I certainly would. Put your self in the sellers shoes. Probably just an honest mistake.
