Sammy - I never got the whole "talking at the gates" thing either, but then again I'm very unsociable.....well actually it's more a shyness thing, I doubt I've got anything of interest to say so I just didn't bother.

DD's are off to stay with my parents today :j It's a very important exercise, they go for 3 nights, I realise that I do miss them and it makes us all realise just how much we like being together when they get back.

DH had physio this afternoon, hopefully it won't be so painfull this time.

I went on a school trip to the metro centre once. It was hours before I realised that it wasn't full of foreigners, it's just how they talk up there!

    Morning all
Sammy you deserve a day off even if you end up doing that list
Today I too have the day off work and I actually thought lazy OH might get out of bed with DD and give me a lie in...last time was on mothers day march I recall!

    List for today
    Hoover upstairs
sort DD room out (bring small table and chairs downstairs and put her Tee Pee in Bedroom)
Paint 1 wall in the hall that is really marked so I can finally hang pics up
sort out cupboard in sitting room (didn't do yesterday)
go to market to buy some fruit
play with DD and get her to practice her writing

    think that will do!

  • Sally good luck with your weigh in.

Today I am planning to re decorate the bathroom. Need to go and get some supplies first but it needs scrubbing, glossing, painting, tileing, shower fixing and a new lino fitting. Then we have the supplies for the hall way so may start on that too. Then there isnt many more rooms to finish :j Going to see what type of wallpapers they have to see if its cheap to redo my room too :D

Have a great day all
