    I use a Tesco card, purely for the points and I do quite well out of them. However, like that Barclays chairman once said, I too would not recommend my children use them.

    Isn't that one of the specialist cards listed in the article ?

    Sorry to be a party pooper, but none of them are. They simply reduce your purchasing power by charging interest which you could have used to buy more stuff.

    The points on the card are worthwhile so long as you don't incur any interest charges as I understand it?
