Are laptop CD/DVD roms all the same fit?

Quick question: Are all Laptop (internal) DVD/CD roms all the same (just like Desktop pc are) or do they come in different sizes?

What do you mean by 'size'? Do you mean the physical size of the disk or the capacity?

Yes I mean the physical fit/conectivity - basically the one I have is dead and I was thinking of replacing it but dont know whre to get one - if they are standard fit I can pick one up of ebay cheaply.
