Dust sheets

Looking to buy some dust sheets. Wilkinson is selling it by the roll 2mt by 25 mt at £1.99. B&Q is selling 2mt by 50mts at £6.69. Not sure which ones to get and whether the B&Q one is of better quality since it is more expensive? Thanks

The better quality ones are recommended - even 6.69 is cheap. (can you have a feel of them.
The closer/denser the weave the better they are because the small particles of dust just goes through on to furniture and floors so you might as well not have them at all. My husband retired from decorating 10 years ago and proper good quality dust sheets then were £15 or so.
make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.

The plastic ones aren't great but it would be expensive to buy proper dust sheets.

If you buy the plastic ones then I'd just go cheap but use masking tape to hold it all down or you'll be tripping over it and getting entangled in it on the floor and it fly up off any furniture.

Avoid the plastic ones if possible, especially if they are £1.99. I got one from Homebase for £1.99 at its thinner than shopping bags and if you put masking tape, they just rip if you move it slightly. If you have old sheets, just use those.

Thanks, just going to use them to cover boxes and suitcases. Builder is removing a chimney breast and he suggested I cover my stuffs when I move in my new house. Not going to use them on the floor to cover carpets etc, just boxes, plastic containers etc. I have bought cheap ones on the roll, it is just a thin plastic but I guess, it will serve its purposes, I can just throw them away afterwards. I have also got some old sheets and some very strong ans sturdy plastic which came with my mattress.

If its boxes and suitcases could you use some bin liners for some stuff. You could even lay the plastic cheaper stuff over the top for added protection and you can use them again after.
