best way to sell cd's?

long story but my brother and SIL are moving to a narrowboat so they are decluttering - in the meantime my brother has become seriously ill with cancer stopping their car boot plans. I have volunteered to do one for them - they have hundreds of cd's that they want rid of - is a car boot going to be the best way of doing this? They have had a dealer in who offered them 50p each - SIL said she would rather charity shop them tbh.

just looking for advice really so i can get them the best prices possible.... their lives have been horridly disrupted over the last year or so and they are currently living at our mums whilst brother has chemo and their boat is finished [after they nearly lost it due to company going bust]

thanks in advance!
:rotfl:five children? I must be mad........ :rotfl:

defo ebay them, my brother sold some a few days ago and charged £2 postage they were 76p to send and started them at 99p so instead of the 50p she was offered she could get at least near £3

I don't think you would get much more than that at a boot sale. You could try Music Magpie instead, see what they offer.

I would check amazon out for prices. The less mainstream stuff can sometimes get far better prices than ebay. Its worth double checking where you will get the best prices and not just selling in one place. I sell a lot of CDs both business and Private. Sometimes the prices can vary greatly between ebay and amazon.

There is also playtrade, but I have never sold there so cant give you much information about that

As I said on the other thread, only problem is now to sellers is that you HAVE to give free postage on CDs, DVDs and games. So if they don't sell for much, you could quite literally be out of pocket by the time you've paid fees+postage.

I was wondering if anyone had any experience of Music Magpie as I have quite a few CD's and was going to give them a try.

No you dont, you can add postgae if you want but there will be a small ebay charge which can more than be made back in the postage charges :D
