Barclays hardship pay out!!

I recentley made a hardship claim for £1850 from barclays for overdraft charges.
I had a couple of letters from them first, just notifying there looking into my case then another with a expenditure form wich they requested i fill in and send back to them..

Thatt was a few weeks ago hadnt heard anything since ...then i logged into my barclays online account ealier and noticed they had deposited a good will gesture payment of
£1150 into my account with out even notifying me they were going to do so...

My question is do you guys think i should accept this? i am still in debt at the moment and my account with them is still over drawn by a slight amount even though they have made that payment...should i follow this up with a telephone call rejecting there offer and demand the £1850 in full? what is the likley hood of them paying out in full? or is this move too risky? am i risksing them taking back the payment and them just waiting too see what the outcome is of the court case??

    Was barclays your only debt?
of the amount paid back can you use any of it for other priority debts?

is it over the overdraft facility?
I would write to them and ask them what the payment is for and to explain how they have come to that figure(FINAL RESPONSE LETTER).

no it is not over the overdraft facility it is now within my ovedraft but never the less
im a still over drawn.. I will take your recomendation and sent them a final letter..

Just on another point too....in one of the correspondence i recived from barclays
they have som how mistakenly sent me somebody elses correspondence to a hardship claim they are making.....i now have this gentlemans name, address and account number lucky for him im a honest person and will destroy these documents. but before i do
i was wandering if i could use this to my advantage with my claim...ie advise barclays of there mistake and politley let them know if i have to go to the FOS i will also report them on this slight infringment on data protection wich im sure it is... what do you think?

I have some better advice. Make Barclays aware that it was sent out but I would put the offer in an envelope and forward it on and make them aware that it was sent to you in error. Remember, if they are in financial hardship then they will be desparate for news of their case.
