I received a letter from Thomas Cook today stating that my balance was overdue and I therefore risk losing my deposit. They gave a number on the letter which I called - it went straight to an answerphone. Rang Flexibletrips reservations, couldnt believe my luck when someone answered, he couldnt take my payment though, and gave me an 0871 number to call on Monday, he said the payment line is open 9-5 Mon to Fri. However my invoice states this:-
You can pay by credit/debit cards, VISA, Amex, Maestro, Visa-Delta or the ThomasCook Credit Card, by contacting us on 0870 513 3102,
between 8.00am-8.00pm Monday to Saturday
So if you call outside 9-5 weekdays you are put on hold to a line that won't be answered. I nice earner for Thomas Cook on their prem rate number.
Result at last! phoned 01274 384520 the number given on my overdue letter, got through quickly and made payment. Have posted as hopefully this may save someone the hassle I've been through.
