Your application has been dealt with a person at a desk that says 'computer says no'.

Escalate your enquiry to a manager of Mortage Express (who, buy the way I have 47 mortgages with and know them to be a good lender)

The only reason they will not lend you the amount requested is if the property is over valued (is it) or if the surveyor didn't get his/her oats that night/morning.

Do you have a broker? If not ask to speak to a #superior' and rant and explain the situation..If they still refuse, rant and rave until you can speak to someone who has authority.

    Best of luck

    Hi Sunflower,
I agree with Tassotti that ME are good lenders but they do mak mistakes. Last year they changed their computer system and as a result (story toooo long to tell) I ended up with Equifax being notified completely wrongly of a 4 month default by me. This has taken until now to sort out and a colour coded spreadsheet to work out what happened!

Hopefully its the fault of a minion pressing the wrong keys and someone higher up the food chain can sort it.

    All the best,

    Feej

thanks - am hoping it is just a simple mistake
after all, they have given no reason to reduce my mortgage from 90% to 85%

am pretty annoyed at the broker sending the e-mail at 4.50pm the day before good friday
why couldnt they just ring me or leave it til tuesday, they have totally ruined my weekend :o
