Free days out for disadvantaged children (Grant you apply for)

http://www.merlinsmagicwand.org/how_to_apply/how_to_apply.asp

Its a charity set up by the Merlin Group to help disadvantaged children have a good day out.

I applied and asked for 6 tickets (Me, hubby and 4 kids) to Chessington World of Adventures as they don't do free carer tickets we would struggle to afford to go.

I received a decision in 1 working day and they said yes, once I show proof of my sons disability (he has Aspergers Syndrome) they will send out tickets.

You can apply for petrol costs too, I didn't do this as I don't want to be greedy, as I'm not having to pay out a fortune for tickets to get in I am more then happy to arrange my own petrol costs but for those on a very tight budget it could come in handy.

Hope this can be helpful to some.
