There have been postal strikes in some parts of the country over the last week so maybe that could explain the delay?

OK, then all you can do is ask the buyer to wait a fe wmore days and then once you get into the second week (or however long your buyer will wait) just refund them if item never shows up as delivered. Then after 15 working days you need to do the usual claim for loss from RM using your recorded receipt. If RM use the 'receipt required' claim on you as some of us have had recently then not only will you need to send the ebay auction details but you will also need to provide them with a receipt for the original price paid for the item. However just proceed with the claim as usual and wait to see if they want you to prove original cost, don't volunteer the info.

If a claim to the RM is required, just filling in the RM form and attaching a POP is sufficient? Sorry, not the OP but just enquiring. So no need to produce any eBay invoices at first go?

In the first instance you need to send the proof of posting + something to show item value, this used to be a copy of the paypal or ebay transaction details. However just recently I and others have had problems where RM say that we need to prove the actual cost to ourselves of the item, obviously this is fine for my business aco!!!! as I have receipts but impossible for my personal aco!!!! where I am just selling old things I can find lying around. I sold an old Transformer toy, about 12 years old and it went for nearly £20, yet there is no way at all I would have the receipt for that after all these years (and it probably cost me about £60 new anyway).

I would still just send POP and an ebay print out unless asked for otherwise.

Amazon sellers are having particular problems just now as books tend to be bought in bulk.
