Graduate Account - Declined!

Options
Hi
I went into RBS to apply for a graduate account today, and was led into the back room to have the application processed. The result was 'declined' but in the list of accounts i'd been declined for, it was just one - "Student Royalities Account"

I don't know what to do now! The details were all correct, and the person only asked for addresses and my name, dob - no financial info...

My credit rating is Okay, and I have 2 credit cards (used normally, wisely) and an overdraft with Halifax

Not sure what to do - I'm confused and the woman couldn't help!

Is Halifax your current Student Account? If so, why not use their graduate facility for now? You will keep your 0% OD for 1 year.

This may be a stupid comment but are you sure they assessed you for the right account? RBS do a Student Royalities Account and a Graduate Royalities Account so if it was the Student Royalities Account they've declined you for then it's possible that they've done their application process wrong - you are not eligible for a SRA as you are a graduate not an UG, you want a GRA

Were you requesting an overdraft facility? Perhaps with an existing overdraft and two credit cards you already have quite a lot of available credit? Also are you registered to vote at your present address? Have you checked your credit report to see if all the information is correct?
