Smoking study in London - £80

Hey all, just got below from a friend, it's a study about smoking, £80 for two hours and seems legitimate, not bad?! Email is [EMAIL="king1an@hotmail.co.uk"]king1an@hotmail.co.uk[/EMAIL]


We are looking for males and females aged 30 - 39 for a study on smoking. We are recruiting for a 2 and a half hour focus group to be conducted in West London on 29th and 30th July.


There is a cash incentive of £80. Your eligibility for the study will be determined by some screening questions.

Please get in touch via email but be aware that, due to the high number of responses, we cannot guarantee contacting all interested parties. If recruited for the study we will require you to arrive 15 minutes early and bring some photo ID to register at reception. Unfortunately, without photo ID you will not be able to participate.

Is there a link to the organisers of the study? - Studies like this should've gone through an ethics commitee so there ought to be some details about who is conducting the study and why.

I don't think it's actually a scientific study, just a focus group for a new product.

personally, i think using a hotmail email address is a bit dodgy.... if it's a 'research' study then a university/company email address will be appropriate and if it's a company running a focus group then again, a company email address makes sense.

Some of the focus group websites run a recruiting scheme, I suspect this is the result.
