Credit Card - over limit

I have a question;

I went over my limit on a credit card. I paid the over limit off bringing me back under my limit.

My card issuer charged me an over limit fee, which took me over my limit again. My normal DD payment went out and I have been charged again for going over my limit.

This seems a little unfair to me?

    Have you rang them up, and di they give you prior notice of the charge that was to be made?

    Seems harsh, but I suspect legit.

    They have sent me a letter on both occasions..

    No I havent called them. I suspect I will just have to swallow it and pay the over limit off..

    Unfair perhaps, but if a £12 fee was all it took to push you over your limit,
    you need to leave yourself a little more headroom.

    May I ask which cc is involved?

  • I'd give them a call and find out

    Call them and explain the situation. 3 sets of over limit charges sounds worth a phone call if you ask me.

    How did your DD payment take you over the limit, would that not reduce your balance rather than increase it?

    my DD payment took me back under the limit, but then the over limit charge was placed on my account. The advised me of going over my limit before I made the payment to take me back under the limit.
