Just a note your letter is too long and would be filed in the bin quickly. You really need to be short and concise getting your point across in a few sentences. They always refuse appeals. Make the next letter one that threatens court action and send it also to the land owner.

    Perhaps something like....?!

Parked at (x place) on (x date and time) for (x period of time). Was clamped and charged a £x release fee, which was paid under protest. Have proof of purchase from (x place) at (x time) which proves I met contractual requirements on displayed signs. I contacted (wheel clamping company) previously on two occasions but a refund has not been forthcoming. If the release fee of £x is not refunded in full within the next 14 days, I will be forced to take the matter to court to recover the fee plus any associated legal costs from (wheel clamping company) and the land owner.

(Modifications and additions by those who know more about this than me welcome :D)

If you dont get anywhere with your letter Id threaten them with the local newspapers or write to your local councillor.

And the relevance of this is???
I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.
  • I was walking towards the car ...... Which had just been clamped

You *both* left the car to go to Greggs. The parking is for people going into the service station shop *only*.

Now if one of you had gone to Greggs and the other to the shop that would be different. The fact is you both left the vehicle, so I believe they are within their rights. Morally reprehensible, of course, but legally sound IMO.
