For a £500 budget anything that isn't going to break too often will be tought to find, but someone else posted this up the other day, £495 Skoda Felicia 33,500 miles. Gotta be worth a look.

Any VW is a pretty good buy as they seem to be fairly indestructable (providing you take care of them). Fish 4 cars is a good website to start looking
