interest on existing card???

does anybody know if i can get my interest down on my existing credit card? ive foolishly missed monthly payments in the last year, only twice i think but its bumped my interest up which is a bit of a nightmare. Any advice would be very much appreciated.

Does that mean you've had a 0% deal and by missing the payments they've cancelled it?

well ive had the card for a while now so i think i was just over my 0% time limit. Would transfering to a new credit card be the best option?

If you think you can get one, check out the 0% deals again. Just remember to include the % transfer fees attached.

The problem that you are going to have now is because you've missed some payments on your card, it will appear on your credit file and you will find it a nightmare to find a lender willing to give you CC at 0%

1 or 2 missed payments over the course of a year in an otherwise spotless credit report won't prevent you from getting a decent 0% offer.

To the OP, the card company won't reduce your current rate of interest because you've missed a payment - why would they, they get to charge you fees and interest

Do a bit more homework on the current offers and card issuers, links have been posted more than a few times today in other similiar posts that will hopefully help.
