Loyalty Account

Just had a flyer from Dunfermline Building Society offering me (as a loyal customer) the chance to invest up to the maximum of a million pounds in their Loyalty Savings Account at 0.10%!!

Wow! Only a million though. Shame you can't do more.

:rotfl::rotfl:...... bit like the Nationwide sales "person" who phoned recently and couldn't understand why we had moved our money from their "market leading cash ISA"

I find it reassuring to learn that loyalty is still being rewarded. :rotfl:
Co-incidentally, I had a 'phone call from them the other week and they enquired if I was aware that the rate of interest which I was receiving from one of the products which I hold with them was not exactly market leading ? I replied that I was aware of the situation and was currently in the process of implimenting Plan B. Upon hearing this, I was told that I could transfer my balance to any of their a/c.s and they would waive the notice period required. The sum involved is only £3k so I guess that they are really keen to retain my loyalty
Recent history suggests that if a decent rate of return is required then it is necessary to c0ck things up big time. Then you may rest assured that you will be rewarded for failure. :D
I am unsure however as to how this theory may be applied to interest income.
