Length of time for debt for council tax?

A friend had to leave a rented house 3 years ago financially embarrased and owed about £800 in council tax. They have never been chased since. Can the council chase them for this debt if they found out where they are now?

Absolutely - they cant chase them if they dont know where they are. All the letters will have gone to the house. Council tax is never statute barred so
when they do find them they will chase the debt.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
