Car Insurance Cashback: thwarted by address problems

Comparison sites suggested that I could halve my car insurance by going to esure (with cashback).

So, holding my nose against the stench of the odious Winner, I clicked through.

Couldn't make it work. esure's website insisted that, according to my postcode, I live in the road next to mine, and offered me no way of changing the address.

Next cheapest: Halifax. Guess what? It's really esure again...

Next cheapest: Sheila's Wheels. You know what? Yep, it's esure again...

Not the first time I've had this problem. I live in a cul-de-sac and the address in the PO Address File contains both the street name, and the name of the street it connects to. This is standard practice for cul-de-sacs, but unfortunately some morons (such as those who built esure's website) can't seem to grasp this and they omit the *first* (i.e. correct) street name from the address. And they've lost my custom as a result.

I've already lost more money on this through lost working time (I'm self-employed) than I'm likely to save, so I give up. Gonna just renew my policy.
Je suis Charlie.
