I would just like to say how lovely this man has been today.
My lovely daughter and 4 friends, managed to mix up their tavel arrangements, supposed to leave Weston super Mare (T4 on the beach) at 5.30pm today for London Victoria.

They asked if the coach they were on went to London, yes via Bristol they were told. However, they were not told to get off and change at Bristol.

When they got to Gloucester, they realized they were going the wrong way, driver then confirmed that they were going to Birmingham.

Mad phone calls to me, no money, and no more coaches out of Gloucester tonight.

So, I phone the National Express helpline, get Mark:j who gets them back to Bristol, on a 12.40am coach to Heathrow (AS I am writing this), and a 6 seater cab booked to bring them home from there.

All the staff at Bristol, and the coach drivers were made aware of their plight, and they have been looked after so well.

Five anxious parents can relax now.

Mark, you are an absolute Angel, a huge THANKYOU from all of us.

I must say Nat Express were extremely helpful when my 16 yr old daughter missed a connection (it didn't turn up), miles from home. She was stranded in the middle of her journey on her way to visit boyfriend and parents. NE were great organising new coach pick up, even taxi so she could arrive safely - I was so grateful. She was stranded at a pick up point (not a bus station so no phone or staff to help) Perhaps it was "Mark" who helped. I rang their Head office to say thank you.

I think I would be sending a letter to head office praising "Mark" to the hilt, sounds like he deserves the recognition from his bosses too :)

    Just a little update.

She arrived home early hours of the morning, Mark had her mobile number and kept her up to date throughout the journey on the arrangements he had made, And made sure the driver did not leave them at Heathrow without making sure the cab was there for them.
They were all dropped off at their respective addresses, her first, then friends, around 15 miles further than mine, in a people carrier to accommodate them and their luggage, and not a penny exchanged hands.

I find it unusual these days, that in these large companies, they actually have people who do care about you being left in a predicament

I cannot express how relieved I am that Mark was on the end of the phone and working so hard, to deliver them all safely home.

National Express, you have some fantastic members of staff.

wll be finding out where he is based today, to send a big 'Thankyou'.

    Hear hear!

National Express offer fantastic services on their coaches, and I have been constantly impressed with friendly staff, drivers etc...I really don't mind paying a couple of quid more for my journey, rather than use the Megabus again: Grumpy drivers, 90 minutes late, and it was no fun sitting next to a broken toilet door for 3 hours, constantly flapping open and wafting toilet stench in my face.
