DVD/VCR recorder combo

Can anyone recommend a DVD/VCR recorder combo ?
We want to be able to record directly from our Panasonic (NV-DS65B) digital video camera to DVD, also transfer some old pre-recorded video tapes to DVD.

Are there any things we should look for in the spec's ?
Can we plug our video camera straight into the combo without buying any special equipment,so that we can record straight on to DVD, rather than on to a videotape first.

TIA
Trisha

I've had my camera about 4 years now and it plugs straight into the phono sockets on the TV. This then enables me to record off the TV channel that the camera is displaying on.

I;ve not bought a DVD recorder or video for a while but I would have thought that they would have phono sockets (or it's replacemant) to allow simular method surley otherwise does your tele?

If only I had a pound for every time I used the thanks button :D
