Standard Bank Charges

I have 2 current accounts, HSBC and Halifax. I would like to open a new bank account elsewhere and as I am prone to charges would like to know which bank offers the lowest charges.
For example, when I a direct debit leaves my account and I do not have sufficient funds I am charged:
HSBC £25
Halifax £35
what do others charge?

If you really can't ensure sufficient funds are in your account when a direct debit is taken, wouldn't the best solution be to cancel your direct debits and pay by other means?0
