Got a DRO yet still harassed...
Options
Hi, my DRO was accepted on 10th june (6 weeks now). I assume the insolvency service has sent letters to all my creditors and some have sent me letters acknowledging that they have recieved a letter about DRO and want to know my expenses per month (yeah right, jog on).. anyway, I am still being harassed by some companies by letters namely moorecroft and orange, I got a letter last week which was from a solicitors firm working for behalf of moorecroft saying that they are taking me to court unless I contact them by 17th july (whoops.. my bad.. its 20th now).. anyway, any solution to this? They are only sending letters but it is still annoying and they used to ring but I told the guy at moorecroft that I know his name and moorecrofts address and if they rang my parents house one more time I would come down there and we will see how hard he is (not had a call since).. anywho.. any advice? Should I send them a copy of my DRO even though I told them they should be patient as the OR has sent them one or should I just ignore them because what can they do? ..

Inform your OR of what is happening, if you want a quiet life you could send a copy of DRO.
My OH had letters from EGG and halifax threatening court action ect ect.. they knew he was BR as the letters stated this fact. We laughed and passed them on the our OR. soon stopped.0 -
Yeah I still got letters from halifax aswell adding all that interest and the rest. These people will never learn. I cannot be bothered to send a letter, I do not have the money for a stamp0

Not sure of timescales in a DRO, but in a BR the OR has a target of 8 weeks to send report to creditors, so they might not have been informed yet.0

Hiya
Sorry to butt in but this can happen with your creditors and the advice from the DRO unit is to ignore them. There is nothing they can do if your DRO has been approved.

just have to have watched dispatches tonight to see how awful they are! Just feel chuffed inside to the fact that they can do nothing!

Ive been on a DRO since May, and I still get the odd letter (mainly from Barclaycard, who incidently are the only one of my creditors not to default me).
I rang up the IS, and their advice was that all creditors are informed of the DRO the same time you are. It sometimes just takes some time for the left hand to know what the right hand is doing!
The IS said that I could contact creditors myself, and inform them of my DRO number if things got too out of hand.I used to be Snow White, but I drifted.Mae West
