What are my options for attatching a piece of timber board measuring 1/2" x 24" x 48" long to a wall if i want the attatchments to remain hidden?
i.e no screws in site.

depends on what you are planning on using it for, as to where you could hide the screws
but, if you are going to paint the wood afterwards, i would countersink the screws, fill the holes, then paint over

Hidden fixings are available, but I don't know of anything that will work in 1/2 inch thickness. Minimum I have seen would work with 1 inch, like these: http://www.tuxfordfurniturehardware.co.uk/myshop/cat_123381-Concealed-Shelf-Brackets.html

These flush mounts will do it.
With the added benefit of the panel being easily removable.
Alittle bit of careful measuring is needed though.0 -
Another idea would be to use a split batten I did this very successfully to fix a large headboard to the wall. Have a look here for the general idea.http://www.australiasigns.com.au/qsonline/lasercutting-16.htmlI can afford anything that I want.
Just so long as I don't want much.0 -
Thanks for all your replys they were a great help.
Think i might try the flushmounts from Screwfix but will look for them locally rather than pay the P&P for just 1 item.0 -
