I have done a system restore and that has made no difference, I am going to try cleaning the dust and fluff out tomorrow. If that does not work I will have to get my son to look at it when he comes to visit because as I said I am not at all technical and do not understand how to deal with the other suggested problems. Thanks for the help and I will post the outcome when it is sorted0
