Sleepmasters mattress faulty but they won't replace-help!!

    Heya,

    Just wondering how you got on? As i am currently having the same problem with sleepmasters!!

    Has anyone with this problem managed to get the bed refunded or replaced as I am having the same problem.

    We ordered a Kingsize divan bed + 2 drawers from Bensons 16 months ago it was supposed to be delivered within 2 weeks it was actually 6 weeks before it was delivered and when it arrived it was covered in red ink the driver wrote this on the delivery note and bensons agreed to replace the whole bed, this took 10 weeks as they had to order it as they would not let us have one from stock now 12 months later both side walls of the matress are collapsing and one of the drawers keeps falling off the runners
    I telephoned and was told to send pictures which were ignored I then phoned again to be told they had not received the pictures even though I had an email from them saying they had received my email and would get back to me within 48 hours they then said they would send an ecomaster inspector out.
    The inspector arrived and said that the matress was faulty as it was collapsing down both sides of the bed, the inspector lied on the bed and said it was in a very poor condition and was causing roll off the bed if you lied on the edge he said there was no point in repairing the drawer as the bed had been discontinued so it would all need to be replaced.
    After 10 days I had not received a reply from Bensons so I contacted them to be told the inspectors report says this has been caused by sitting on the edge of the bed so they will not be doing anything about it, I explained what the inspector told me and they said it is my word against his and they believe the report they say ecomaster is independant and has no reason not to reccomend a replacement but on reading this forum I am not the only person experiencing this problem.
    I am now left with a 12 month old bed which is not fit for the purpose intended and Bensons are not prepared to do anything about it, I had even been to the Bensons store to look at beds due to mine being discontinued and we had decided to purchase a better bed and pay the extra difference but Bensons are not interested as far as they are concerned the matter is closed.
    They have not even given me a date to repair the drawer which they admit is faulty but wont say what they intend to do about it.

    It might be better if you copy this into a new thread and delete this post. This thread was started three years ago and most people who start reading from the beginning will just give up after the first few posts. :)

  • Following threads from 2008 to 2010, about the rubbish mattresses by sleepmasters, I wondered how if at all you sorted out the problem. I have exactly the same problem, same mattress and getting nowhere. If you could give me some feedback as to how you progressed I'd be grateful.
