Question about Lloyds TSB Classic Plus new account opening

Hi all,

I've just read this article:

http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/cgi-bin/viewnews.cgi?newsid1126693751,89953,

and got interested with LLoyds TSB Classic Plus account. On their website

http://www.lloydstsb.com/legal/current_accounts_legal/moving_to_lloyds_tsb_page.asp

I came accross the phrase "salary credit" ... Does this mean that my salary has to go to my account as a bank transfer from my employer? Or I can deposit my salary in cash? I get paid cash-in-hand in my workplace. I'm just not sure 100% ...

Thanks.

If you are worried about £50 bonus, have a read of this thread: LloydsTSB £50 bonus ...
  • Thanks, grumbler

I've read the post about the LTSB account you reffered me to, but it's still not 100% clear for me whether I will get the £50 bonus if I pay my salary in cash rather than by bank transfer.
  • It has to be a 'redirected salary' ie the bank has to tell your employer to stop sending it to Bank A and redirect to LTSB.
Cash I don't think will work although what is on their website and what is written in their leaflets contradict each other.
  • thanks, ejones999
I think, I'll just go to my branch and ask them :)
