Iva question

Options
Hi all

Hoping someone can give me a bit of advice on an IVA issue please.

I entered into an IVA back in 2002 and duly completed this in 2006. However I received a phone call the other day and a letter to a very old address from Wescott chasing a debt on behalf of the RBS. Now upon checking this debt it does not appear on my completion IVA statement but it was added to my IVA but at a later date not when i first entered into it.

The debt was for around 2k and dates back to 2001. I have checked my credit file and it is not on there either. My credit file by the way is now clean and everything IVA related has been taken off as I have done the 6years.

Just a bit confused and angry that after all the hard work and stress going through the IVA that they can now pop up and start chasing me. I have spoken with them and sent them a copy of my IVA completion certificate but I was wondereing where I stood with all of this and whether they have a legal right to chase me. I am slightly worried that this was not on my completion statement but the debt is older than 6 years also.

Hope this makes sense if anyone can offer any advice it would be appreciated.

Thanks ;)
