Barclay card platinum - had one 14 months ago now can i go back?

I had one and closed it 14 months go.......now i want to get it againas i have an mbna card thats coming to the end of its interest free period.
Anyone recommend this? Will they decline as i have have a 12months bt interest free card before?
I rung them and they said no as its over 3 months but i dont trust the call centres!

I have to go back to barclays as i have mbna now so can go for any other mbna cards ......

I know i could try egg / nationwide / rbs but barclays platinum is best offer for me.

Any advice?

You cant transfer between the same lender I believe, not 100% though. Barclaycard should be okay I would of thought. Although they can see these days if you are on special deals all the time so may spot you

To the OP-As long as 6 months have elapsed, you should be fine to apply for another card.I have had a barclaycard for 12 months paid it off and closed it.I then got another card 8 months later which offered the same zero percent terms.I know some friends who have done the same with Virgin.
Good luck and let us know how you get on.....

    Hi guys

just so you know i applied for a new credit card with Barclays again and it was successful. :)

I think its 6 months as you say......now its time to transfer the balance!! last time they gave me a £9000 limit which i dont need but i wonder now if the currecnt climate means it will be nowt like that.

i told them i had £3500 to Balance transfer so as long as i get that i will be happy.

i rang up but they said i can only find out my credit limit once the card arrives in 7 days!!!

Was there an option to request a BT during the application process? There's some speculation that requesting a transfer on the application can have a positive effect on credit limits.

Do you have a plan B incase you're not able to transfer the full balance? Is it only the MBNA card and the new Barclaycard you have? You realise that with Barclaycard only the first £5000 of your transfer is at 0%? If it is only £3500 you need then no problem.

Did you look at the full list of 0% offers available?
