    What cable are you thinking of shielding? And are you sure it is the correct cable in the first place? Sometimes these problems arise due to wiring being wrong - phone wire is twisted and generally quite good against interference.

    Well for example one person has a theory that its the cable in between the handset and the phone station itself... so that twisty wire with RJ11 connectors about half a meter long if that..

    Again,it all depends whether the wire is picking up the dirty RF from the ether or whether it is being induced or transmitted from another source.
