Irrelevent.
You gave them no chance to even look at the car.
Whose to say you or your partner didnt !!!! about with it?
Certainly that would be my defence.
Internet prints are irrelevent.0 -
thats the main reason we didn't just cut our losses they are a desirable car just made a huge mistake of seeing engine warehouse's website and thinking they would have been a good company to take it to. just really hope something can be done about them before loads more other people get robbed0

but if i can get some kind of report from both trading standards and watchdog about them both investigating them previously then the court will be more likely to look at all the evidence.0

It may stregthen your case but you need to prove 1) they were neglient with your car and 2) they didnt meet the legal requirements.
1) You might just about manage
2) If they lie you cant proof you gave them opportunity to fix it and any compensation will be cut back at best.0 -
thanks for your opinion i guess its just a waiting game.0

I don't want to be wise in hindsight, but why the heck did you take it there?
I've got a specialist sports car as well which needs a lot of care and servicing and you simply cannot take these sort of cars to anywhere other than main dealer or an independent specialist. It is more expensive but that really is just part of the cost of ownership.
If you can demonstrate that it was reasonable (and that you have 'mitigated your loss') then there is no reason why you cannot claim third party repair costs.0
