in Credit cards
Hi there
This is my first post here.
My daughter has a Halifax credid card, and noticed a monthly charge for £20 for some phone company in Austria. The credit card company don't seem to eager to sort it out, should she cancell the card ?

They should freeze the interest on that payment and send out some forms for your daughter to sign. The forms are basically a written declaration that she didn’t make the payment or authorise anyone else to do so.
They should also put a stop on the card and send a replacement.
Make them sort it out first and then decide whether or not to cancel the card.0 -
Canceling the card won't stop the payments being made if (as is likely) it is a Continuous Payment Authority (CPA.)The credit card company don't seem to eager to sort it out, should she cancell the card ?
Your daughter should be a little firmer with her credit card company with respect to complaining about these unauthorised charges.Conjugating the verb 'to be":
-o I am humble -o You are attention seeking -o She is Nadine Dorries0 -

She needs to be more assertive. If she did not authorise these payments then she does not have to pay them and they can be disputed. Don't let the front line CSAs fob you off.0
