Whats the best 'closing' offer anyone has got from Halifax or NatWest?

My 0% deal is due to end in July, and I have heard a few people on here say they have just closed their accounts when calling to ask for some sort of deal. I'd rather the account stayed open for longer to be honest. What sort of a deal are they offering people to stay? A further 0% for 6 months or low rate transfer? I'd like to know for my long term strategy

Edit : My NatWest 0% ends in August and I'm also wondering what people have managed to get from them.

Me neither, Halifax were the poorest to deal with.

Any takers for a NatWest customer retention offer?

Just phoned NatWest to ask when my 0% ends. I asked if they can extend this period and they said "No, the only way to do it is to transfer to another card outside of NatWest" (I suppose the whole group)!

I then said that should I do this...how can I close my account. He said "over the phone, but we may be able to offer a low 'life of balance' rate, but that would have to be looked at when the offer ends".

So it seems that NatWest are quite happy for people to "stooze".

Interesting. That might be worth while depending on what the rate is.

In the meantime, any takers for Halifax?
