return button fell off laptop

hi, does anyone know how to put the return button back on.There are two clips that have to go on and then i think it clips back on :confused:
Any suggestions please

    You should be able to just pop it back on, apply a bit of pressure - Just don't try and force it in, if it feels like it's not going in have a look a bit closer see if everything lines up ok and looks snugg and have another go.

  • I guess I have the same problem...
    I have all the parts(the square and circled part) and I think i can succeed in attaching them properly,because they don't move,they look attached.But when I try to put button on it,only the upper part of the button is connected(on 2 parts),but I fail in those lower 2 parts.I tried so many times,but i can't connect lower part of the button....The button is F8 on Asus F5N.Any help?I tried to first connect from the lower part but unsuccessful...

    If gentle pressure does not work, then the next step is probably to remove the keyboard completely - so that you can get pressure from above and below. It's usually just a couple of screws underneath.
    Try googling for your laptop model and "service guide" or "service manual" for detailed instructions before you start.
    After that then maybe Ebay for a complete replacement keyboard.
  • Have a look on you tube, there are a number of good videos showing you exactly what to do
  • Smash it as hard as you can......or not lol
