Help With Redundancy Payment!!

Hi
I was wondering if anyone could give me some help!
Basically, my current employer is making me redundant at the end of August. I have been in my job for over 5 years and am due to receive a redudcnacy payment.
However, I applied for and got offered another job in another part of the company. I applied for this job entirely off my own back and was successful at an assessment centre and interview but the company is now saying I am being 'redeployed' - even althugh I will have to sign a new contract (different position, location, salary, working hours) and effectively waive the benefits I have accrued over the last 5 years.
Do I have any right to claim my redundancy money and if not, should my length of service be carried over?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Cheers

Redundancy - No you are moving within the same company so it is highly unlikely they will pay this as they are not legally required to. (though I can appreciate why this is frustrating given you were given so little help with your move)
Continuation of service - This should be retained as you are working within the same corporate entity.
PGo round the green binbags. Turn right at the mouldy George Elliot, forward, forward, and turn left....at the dead badger0
