My daughter has had a field day - drawn on the walls & carpet with crayon and then had my lipstick which is now on the carpet - any ideas what removes them?!

wet wipes seem to get rid of a lot of stains, i use them to get rid of paint drips and to clean my hands when painting, worth a try till someone else comes along0

Today I've wash my front room carpet, bucket of water, stardrops and big sponge, there were a number of stains on it and they have all disappeared, and yes I too have a small child that likes crayons!!!Rebel No 220

For your wall ie if just painted plaster try WD40. Followe up with a soft cloth with hot water and washing up liquid. If the wall is covered in viynl paper ty silver polish.
As crayon and lippy is wax based I'd try to iron it out place brown paper over the stain and then iron. If it is a stain try rubbing alchol and blot away.0 -
washing powder and soda crystals may shift it, thats what i use in my carpet cleanerDFW nerd club number 039

I have a dark blue carpet in my front room. It has seen 2 kids growing up so has had all sorts on there. i used to have a carpet washer but that died a death and rather than faff around I got a man to come and clean it. we had all been ill with lots of bugs so I thought cleaning the carpet might help (not been ill since though!!). When he did it it looked lovely but after it dried the stains started showing through again and now it is looking awful and I have been really careful, it looks like the same stains left on there. It is general things like coffee spills and wear and tear of walking through but even his industrial cleaner did not get rid of the really deep down stains.
So, I am asking if there is anything I can do to get rid of these deep stains now or has my carpet reached the end of it's life and it needs replacing. I am loath to replace it just yet as the kids are still pre-school and I am forever cleaning something off it - it's a false economy to get a new one right now but are there any options? I feel embarrassed when people come around so any advice offered would be appreciated even if I have to do a foot square a day or something to get it looking a bit less tatty and worn. Any advice would be appreciated, thanks.0
