Thanks for your message but no, I am not keen on rugs to be honest as I'd either need loads or it'd need to be a pretty big rug that goes over the floor as our front room is quite big and the stains run from one end to the other as the carpet runs through the house. We have to go through it to get from the front door to the kitchen and back door. it is pretty much the main through room in the house unlike the new houses that have a hall that runs alongside it so this is why. The kids will trip over rugs so I don't think them all that safe. iId rather replace the carpet but am trying to get away with that which is why I asked about getting rid of the stains.0

I would honestly say u would be better getting a new carpet, we also used to have blue/purply carpet and yes it looked lovely when bought but it needed cleaned so often it wasnt worth it.
Ours was a cheap carpet and u could tell by looking at it, every stain showed and it got to the point that i didnt want anyone coming to the house as it just looked filthy, we spent over 700 pounds on new carpet, now red and can not see any stains at all, it was money well spent, esp when we have 3 boys in the house!:rotfl:
Hope u manage to sort it out
