Do you think I should I pay up now, then reclaim?

I've been away for a year and come back to discover that I'm £162 pound in debt to Nationwide for going overdrawn while in Denmark.

I think I have a pretty good case for these fees being unjustfied, and may be able to claim them back. But does anyone know whether its worth me paying them back in the first place?

Or is there some way I can appeal before paying?

Thanks very much for any help you can give me.

I think you asked this before either here or on another forum and it was answered.
I have not worked for NatWest Bank since February 2009

  • I did actually ask this on another forum, its wasn't answered though, it was at

    consumeractiongroup.co.uk/forum/nationwide/209942-should-i-pay-up.html#post2302365 (I'm not allowed to post URL's)

So I'm still looking for answers, I actually went into the bank today to register a change of address. I'm going to let that go through before I talk to them so I can make sure I receive any correspondence.

If anyone wants to help on either site...
  • Have answered you there.
