On a bit of a tangent I suppose but a few years ago I was in the selling and buying process and really, really wish that my estate agent had not taken my nice little old man of a purchaser at face value and carried out further checks on him because the nice little old man was a bit of a con artist, who was not the cash buyer he puported to be and if he had been caught out sooner rather than later (at exchange) would have meant that all of us in the chain would have been save a lot of grief and grey hair!

Most people are incredibly reluctant to show anything to an EA to do with finance, in my experience they are more comfortable to show a FA. That's cos we're all liars, cheats and general scum :D

Thanks again to all those that have posted... well we went in and there were no drama's... the guy was nice enough and just made general chat about the moves... I showed him the AIP from First Direct and he took a copy and that was that really.... Then off we went to give our prospective new home a second viewing :)
