Advise Please Re Square Trade Claim Ebay

I listed an item on ebay and gave the buyer over a month to pay and send several emails. Replies were sent promising payment was in the way but after so long and no payment I gave up and sent an email giving then 4 days to pay then advised that I would report them to ebay. Nothing was received so I advised ebay and I have now (2 weeks later) received an email from a co called Square Trade asking me to retract my negative feedback. All I wrote was that payment never received despite reminders. Anyone else had contact with Square Trade and if so what did you do??

Square Trade are a thrid party mediation company which Ebay "recommend" to solve disputes. Your buyer has logged a dispute with Square trade so now you have the opportunity the give your side of the story. After hearing from both sides, Square trade will mediate and decide if the neg can be removed or not. If you don't respond, then Square Trade will find for the buyer and Ebay can then be instructed to remove the neg.

Put your side of the story and refuse to remove the feedback as otherwise th ebuyer will just keep doing this.

If you went through the full NPB dispute then I can't see what defence the buyer has at all as he would have had plenty of time to respond.

Looks like I am not the only one who had problems with this ebayer - looked on records today and they are no longer a regsistered user.

In that case I think you've won by default.

He probably realised he was a whisker away from suspension and made a last ditch attempt to get some of the NPB strikes removed.

I'd also add that if all sellers went through the NPB process like you these time wasters would not last long on ebay, so well done. I am amazed at how many bidders have multiple negs for non payment, yet as they are still buying the sellers obviously never went through the NPB process.
