60 Birthday Party - Stelios Stalis Apartments - Malia, Crete

Hi,

I wonder if anyone can help.

We are due to spend a week at the Stelios Stalis Apartments in Stalis during which it will be my Mother's 60th Birthday. I want to make it extra special for her and thought that by organising a party with banners, balloons, flowers and a cake at one of the bars would be a good idea.

As there are only 7 in our party (4 adults and 3 toddlers) it may prove a bit difficult and expensive to take over a whole bar so I need a bit of advice

Has anyone stayed at the Stelios Stalis Apartments recently and do you think the bar staff would let us arrange a party on site for her ?

Do you agree that trying to organise something at one of the bars in Stalis may be a bit diificullt and expensive

We are due to fly out tomorrow night so any advice and tips would be welcome

How would you keep out those 18-30s holiday makers?

Just go down the supermarket and get food n drink and stuff and do it in the apartment.

Gosh hope your mother is a party animal, i like lively but wouldn't relish malia this time of year. Hope your toddlers are good sleepers too, would be interested to know if you specifically wanted to go to malia or you havent realised what you've booked.
I would decorate the apartment and have the party their unless your apartment has a bar or restaurant they may do it for you.

Just wanted to point out that the Stelios Stalis Apartments are actually in Stalis.
I know it's close to Malia but it is a lot quieter so there shouldn't be a problem with the 18 - 30 crowd.
We're going back to these apartments for the 3rd time in less than a weeks time and I can't wait!!!
