comet + price match

I have a card with a sum of money to spend in Comet from an insurance company (payment for my recent claim).
I bought several goods last week from Comet with this card and now find they are cheaper in nearby electrical stores i.e. tesco and house of fraser.
I notice Comet do pricematching if can find same goods within 10 miles cheaper.
Am I entitled to do this even though I paid with an "insurance card".

Also I have £160 left on this card and wish to buy a hoover for £278 (minus 20% part exchange = £223).
The difference in price of the goods I paid for last week is also approx £160.
Could I use the card as a bargainning tool or could I just ask for the refund of £160 price difference and then buy the hoover for £223 (I guess would be better of doing the 2nd option really  )

Anyway, basically I want to know if I can still claim price matching when I have paid with an insurance card. Or if that only applies to those that pay cash /credit card etc).

Dont want to be fobbed off with them saying but ah you paid with insurance card

TIA

Assuming you're within the correct time frame, I don't see why not. The difference will (understandably) be put back onto the card.

Nothing in their price match stuff on the website to say it's not possible: http://www.comet.co.uk/shopcomet/advice/185/Pricing
    Squirrel!
If I tell you who I work for, I'm not allowed to help you. If I don't say, then I can help you with questions and fixing products. Regardless, there's still no secret EU law.
    Now 20% cooler
