Most of the schools around newport have had either suspected or confirmed cases, they continued to open as normal - goverment plans are now treatment not containment.

There are a few apparant cases in Barry, but to be honest I think people with just a cold are saying they've got swine flu to get two weeks self certified off work!

The son-in-law of a friend has been told he has it.(In Gwynedd) However, I suspect that any flu-like symptoms would give rise to that diagnosis, both as a precaution and as it is the prevalent strain.

BTW he is not exactly ill; seems like a normal Summer cold.

My son's doing an NVQ course in Cardiff and bought home a letter to say that one of the other trainees has it.

Is it true they've relaxed the rules and you can have two weeks off without a sick note?
