Just place another order, pay the delivery again, then call M&S customer service tomorrow and ask them to refund the delivery charge. This usually works for me, and I have to add their CS is second to none!

You could cancel and reorder of course but some of the items may have gone out of stock.
They don't charge you until they despatch the order which is why it says 'view or change' and 'cancel'. All you can change is the credit card or delivery address, so it is a bit confusing.

I'm hoping some kindly techy-wizard person will be along with a preview link to what will be in the sale...... :D

Well this site seems to have some links that show sale prices - http://www.ddwt.co.uk/marks-and-spencer-sale/ - so maybe they've cracked it :D

woohoo! a sale that has pyjamas for my kids!

I was in a hurry to get them, so I didn't notice what was going on really, but I had an estimated delivery date, then when I added an item of schoolwear to get free delivery my date was 4 or 5 says later than it was before! so I removed the schoolwear item, and the date went back to what it had been before ...

    Hi
Does anyone know if I choose nominated day delivery for something that is now in stock, they will hold the item for me till then? I wouldn't be able to receive the items using their normal delivery times so would rather choose the day but don't want to risk losing out on the item altogether.

Has anyone had their order dispatched yet? I've had 2 emails now from M&S saying that an item is out of stock.

Considering I was lurking pre sale and watched items drop in price in by basket before the sale began I am seriously wondering what M&S are playing at.

Did they have the stock they claimed prior to the sale?
Are they selling more than they have stock?

    EDIT:

Just been on the phone to M&S and utterly disgusted with what I was told:

I ordered 22 items at approx 10PM on 22nd July (when the sale prices started to appear)
I have been sent 2 emails informing me that items are not in stock
The person I spoke to told me only 5 of the 22 items are in stock

Apparently, the stock levels on the website aren't in real time, so , what looked like a good sale was in fact not.

I placed a 2nd order yesterday containing 5 items. Only 2 of them are available.

    It's soooo annoying isn't it?

I love the M&S sale but this problem happens every year without fail! I too was ordering stuff on Wednesday night (before the sale officially started) and have had the same problem as you.

The way most people feel about the Next sale is the way I feel about the M&S sale :)

Next - I think the sale is ok, I will place a small order if I have a VIP invite.
M&S - look forward to the sale all season, plan what I want in advance, keep checking the website the night before the sale starts every few minutes, and will also visit a few stores as well as going online.
